Don’t forget about the little stuff on your big day!
One of my favorite parts of capturing someone’s wedding day is capturing all the little details! All the little details help to tell the story of the big day and of the couple’s wedding story.
Details filter into every aspect of the day… from the ribbon on the bride’s bouquet to the cuff links the groom select’s to wear. They may seem like little details, but they help to tie everything together to create a special love story.
When I meet with a bride & groom I request that they have all the details set aside for me to capture when I arrive – the bride’s jewelry, an invitation suite, the groom’s cufflinks & watch. This makes it much quicker for me to photograph the little details to move on to the bigger details: the dress, the suit, the bouquet, the venue! And of course, the details at the reception: escort cards, place settings, centerpieces, the guestbook, and, of course, the cake! When all of these details layer together with portraits and moments captured throughout the day a story is told. Each story is unique and special and will be shared for years to come among family members and children.
A great way to share these stories? Albums! Yes, prints & canvases are wonderful and precious in their own right, but an album will hold the complete story all in one place. I’m happy to share that we are now offering albums to our clients & have a special album discount for our wedding clients!
Talk to you soon!
